Card of the Day: 3 of Swords

No Gravatar

Three of Swords is one that is not typically a good feeling card. It always represents an ending in some way. In almost every deck it shows three swords going through the heart. In some situations it means an ending to a relationship. There are also occasions depending on the circumstances can mean that there is a third party causing the ending. If it’s not a person then it’s a situation that is drawing two people apart which can either be lovers or even friendships and family. So it really depends on the individual what it may be.  This ending is painful and sorrow filled.  This is typically the harsh reality that this card provides.

On the lighter end of the card, though still painful, this card can also mean a situation comes to an end that perhaps was very good in the past. Whatever you have been living with that you thought was going right, this card indicates an ending. Even more, perhaps there is a situation in which you already knew was causing you pain or issues and now it’s come to a header. Either way this card is telling you it’s done. It’s time to lick your wounds and work on healing. This ending will lead you to a fresh beginning but first you have to accept the fact that it’s done so you can figure out how you can overcome it.

When you ask a “Yes” or “No” type of question, the 3 of Swords is definitely a “No!” The Astrological sign associated with this card is Libra. As such, you may see the timing being the first couple of weeks in October. However, the 3 can also mean the month of March, 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, or perhaps even 3 years. The timing relies on all the other factors in the situation and also whatever is going on in your life. Remember, the ending is painful but once you get through it, you have a new beginning waiting on the other side so do whatever you can to work on healing and easing your pain. It won’t last forever.

Card of the Day: 5 of Swords

The Five of Swords will typically show a few people and some are holding swords and some on a card behind. It’s displayed differently in each deck however; the meaning is mainly the same. This card typically represents the conflict that you may be dealing with whether it’s internal or literal. It could be that not everyone agrees or it could be you tossing around different ideas that are at conflict with each other causing you to have a hard time knowing what to do about it. This card can also indicate a sense of defeat after having already gone through some sort of battle or conflict. Your pride or ego may be wounded by whatever it is that happened.

This card can also mean you have the upper hand but aren’t at all certain you got it by noble means. In that way you are defeated either way. Karma is never a nice thing to experience if you’ve won via manipulative ways. If you are mentally at conflict, you really need to dig deep and listen to what your inner voice tells you so that you don’t end up in defeat. This card also warns you that if you are involved in conflict, now may be the time to take a step back and not get caught up in a battle that is unnecessary for you. If you are in fact defeated, do what you have to do with dignity and grace. Accept that you have lost and be ready to move forward. Success will come your way if you handle things well.

Astrologically speaking this card is associated with Aquarius. This being the case a time frame of what this card could bring to the table if it’s ahead of time would be anytime in January. Since this card is the number 5, it could be the month of May, the 5th of any month, 5 days, 5 weeks, 5 months, or even 5 years depending on what is going on in your situation.  Just keep in mind, this card says defeat but you should carry your head held high and knowing next time you may just succeed!

Card of the Day: The Emperor

This card is about getting everything in your life together and organized. The Emperor is one of wanting order out of chaos. If you’ve noticed your life has been topsy turvy, this card is telling you it’s time to get a hold of yourself and your life and don’t let the madness continue.  Do what you need to do and get yourself together. This could indicate that something is coming to an end to facilitate a new beginning. It can also indicate that perhaps you are about to take things up a notch in your life or development. Perhaps a higher position in your career and/or job is taking place. It can also just mean having to take on more responsibility in your life for whatever reason.

It is also possible that you may rise up and find your inner strength that allows you to finally start getting your life in check and head toward the successful path you know you need to be on. This could also mean that someone with authority or clout could be advising you and helping you to get yourself together. This person is typically older and wiser with much valuable information. The card also signifies that it’s time to stand up and take some action where it is needed. No more procrastinating! Get whatever it is that has been waiting, done.

Astrologically, this card is associated with Aries. This means that Uranus and its placement has a strong influence in your life right now as Uranus is in Aries. This can bring about some unpredictable situations in your life so it’s important to keep pushing forward and not give up even when you think there is no hope. Finding out where Aries is in your chart may help you to know where this affects you the most. On the other hand, if you’ve been contemplating anything this card is a strong “Yes!”.  If you’re looking for a time frame, this card is a number 4. This would be 4 days, 4 weeks, 4 months, or perhaps the month of April. This is a very positive card and though you may be dreading taking the action needed, you will feel better once you get things moving and find your way to success.

Card of the Day: 9 of Wands

In this card you see a person looking through a telescope trying to look around at where he’s been and also where he’s going. This is exactly what this card means in a nutshell. When this card pops up it means you are in a time of evaluation of your life. You’re taking inventory on where you’ve been and how you came to be where you are right now in your life. You look over mistakes and victories to see what you’ve learned and what you can put to use going forward. Also if you feel comfortable in your life mainly, this card indicates that there are perhaps some things in your life that are about to be in a bit of turmoil and you possibly sense it and are looking for a way to get around it or avoid it altogether. This is truly when you draw on your inner strength to pull you up and ready you to move forward.

This card represents determination and will power that can fight against adversity or issues that pop up. You will still need to use discernment and trust your intuition before the problems start to sprout up that way you are fully prepared for what is coming. You must stay frosty and alert so that you are not caught off guard. There is no such thing as over preparing. So if you feel something is about to go down, you are probably right. Trust that feeling and start fortifying yourself, your home, and your sources. It’s always better to be prepared than not to be.

Astrologically, this card really reminds me of Uranus as it tends to bring very random and unforeseen things to your doorstep. Sometimes it’s really great, other times it’s not so hot but preparation is always needed and with Uranus in Aries sticking around until 2018, it certainly needs preparation “just in case”. Now, this card is associated with Sagittarius which means a timing could mean early December to late December. However, since this card is a 9, this could mean the month of September, 9 days, or perhaps 9 weeks. Also in terms of an answer this says “Maybe” if you’ve been mulling anything over.

So if you’ve been putting something off in fear of how it may turn out, this card says “go for it!” as the reward may be well worth the risk. There is also an indication her of a fresh start or new beginning that opens up the door for you to explore and find some amazing pathways in your life. This can also indicate very positive changes that leave you feeling really great about what is to come. It may bring back your childhood sense of wonder about what your future holds.

In many ways, life is a calculated risk so when this card shows up, it’s time to evaluate the amount of risk is involved and trust that your intuition will lead you down the right road. Typically this is a positive indicator that it’s likely the risk you’re considering may be the right one.  This card can also mean you will find some new ways to handle an issue you’ve been dealing with so that a resolution can finally come about leaving you feeling good about things. Even if you make the wrong choice, you’re still at least MOVING which is the key to life’s success.

In considering your options, this card is a very positive one and is a “Yes!” to your quandary. Astrologically, the card is tied to Uranus and so it’s important to find out where Uranus is at in your chart. Right now Uranus is in Aries and will be there for a few more years to come but understanding where exactly it is in your chart will help you to figure out what is being affected by its pull.
